JESUS cannot be replaced, displaced or misplaced

“… all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”  (Col 1:16,17)

Many years ago, I attended the launch of a book on Israel.  The author pointed out that Israelology is often excluded from bible schools and seminaries, and supported the inclusion of Israelology  as part of Systematic Theology as advocated by Arnold G. Fruchtenbaum.  He inserted Israelology in a list on the board, giving equal weightage to all the topics

During the break, I recalled what Frank Viola had wrote ( http://frankviola.org/2009/10/07/deep-ecclesiology/ ) and wondered whether we could categorise systematic theology thus ..

CHRISTOLOGY

Bibliology         Theology Proper

Pneumatology   Angelology

Anthropology    Hamartiology

Soteriology       Ecclesiology

Eschatology     Israelology      Etc

Since then, Frank Viola (also with Leonard Sweet) put out other articles along the same vein

And for the past fortnight, I watched Jacob Prasch speaking on “Christ the Foundation, When Truth Becomes A Lie”

I am glad that the Lord brings modern day ‘Philips’ into my life, and just unveil Jesus in the scriptures –

Acts 8: 35 “Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he preached Jesus …”

John 5:39  You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me
